Cookie banner — web

The truConsent cookie banner manages cookie consent for your website end-to-end: it loads your cookie notice configuration from the platform, shows a categorised consent UI to your visitors, persists their choices, and fires Google Consent Mode signals automatically.

Setup has two phases:

Steps

Section titled “Steps”

  1. Log in and choose your organization — Sign in to the truConsent platform and select your organisation.

  2. Create a cookie notice — Navigate to Cookie Notices, click Create Cookie, and work through the three-step wizard to choose a tag source, configure cookie groups and tags, and submit for review.

  3. Configure appearance and layout — In Global Settings, choose your asset and set the banner’s colours, fonts, position, and layout template.

  4. Get your API credentials — Generate a consent-scope API key and note your organisation ID and asset ID.

  5. Add the banner to your site — Add one script tag to your index.html or mount the TruCookieConsent React component in your app root.

  6. Set up Google Tag Manager (optional) — Configure Consent Mode v2 so GA4, Google Ads, and other tags fire only when the user has granted the relevant consent category.
